Wu pointed out that the report is one of a series from the think tank of the CAAS, which has released reports for four consecutive years and has become an important "window" for all sectors of society to observe and understand the green development of China's agriculture. The series provides an important decision-making reference for implementing the concept of green development and promoting the high-quality development of agriculture.

He emphasized that the CAAS will give full play to its advantages and provide strong scientific and technological support for the comprehensive green transformation and high-quality development of the country's agricultural and rural areas.

The report shows that from 2020 to 2021, China's agriculture faced adverse factors such as the epidemic and extreme weather, but nevertheless achieved remarkable results in green transformation marked by steadily improved green development and provided important basic support for ensuring national food security, ecological security and rural revitalization.

The report reflects the trends of green agricultural development in China, and summarizes its latest progress and achievements from multiple perspectives.

The report also improves the agricultural green development index system, reveals a green development evaluation index system, and improves the scientific and social acceptance of evaluation results.

In addition, it sorts out the landmark theories and technological achievements in the field of agricultural green development in China, recommends replicable and scalable advanced and applicable technologies that support it, and selects seven landmark theoretical research results, ten technical achievements and ten typical models.
