SCHOLARSHIP TYPES & CONTENTS

1. CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP (CGS-Chinese University Program, CGS-Bilateral Program, ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholarship, CGS-Great Wall Program, CGS-EU Program, CGS-AUN Program, CGS-PIF Program, Silk Road Scholarship Program, “Sino-Africa Friendship” Scholarship Program, etc.)

The CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP includes:

（1）Tuition fees and accommodation on campus

（2）Monthly Living Allowance: RMB Yuan/Month (Master Student/General Scholar: 3,000; Ph.D. Student/Senior Scholar: 3,500)

（3）Comprehensive Medical Insurance

2. BEIJING GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP/ BEIJING "One Belt and One Road" SCHOLARSHIP

The scholarship will cover the tuition fee of the awarding academic year.

3. GSCAAS SCHOLARSHIP

The GSCAAS scholarship includes:

（1）Tuition fees and accommodation on campus

（2）Monthly Living Allowance: RMB Yuan/Month (Master Student: 3,000; Ph.D. Student: 3,500)

（3）Comprehensive Medical Insurance

4. GSCAAS-OWSD FELLOWSHIP

The GSCAAS-OWSD fellowship includes tuition fee, food and living allowance, international airfare, etc.

5. FOREIGN GOVERNMENT/ORGANIZATION/UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP

The scholarship is provided by the foreign government/organization/university. The contents are diverse depending on the specific program.

ANNUAL REVIEW OF SCHOLARSHIP

1. Every April, the Office will organize the Annual Review of Scholarships (hereafter Annual Review).

2. All international students who have studied for more than one academic year or applied for extension study period are required to attend the Annual Review. Students are required to login the "Graduate Student Education Management System" (http://aep.gscaas.net.cn/) and submit an application for Annual Review of Scholarships.

3. The Annual Review includes course study, thesis research progress, learning attitude, attendance, behavior, rewards and punishments.

4．Those who pass the Annual Review can continue to enjoy the scholarship for the next academic year. Those who fail in the assessment will be disqualified or terminated from the scholarship for the next academic year, and will be also disqualified from other kinds of awards.

5. Under any of the following circumstances, the scholarship will be suspended for the next academic year:

（1）Failure to complete the required course study;

（2）Failure to pass the opening report, mid-term assessment or study extension application;

（3）Have been given any disciplinary punishments due to violation of Rules and Regulations of GSCAAS;

（4）Failure to obey the management of GSCAAS and refusing to follow the arrangement after advice and criticism.

6. Once the scholarship has been canceled or terminated, the student can only continue his/her study self-funded at GSCAAS after he/she submitted the Application Form for continue-studying and Guarantee Letter, and got formal approvals from the Research Institute and GSCAAS.

7. Scholarship suspension will start from the following academic year once the scholarship has been canceled or terminated; prior to the expiration of suspension, the student may submit application for attending Annual Review in writing, if he/she passed the Annual Review, with the approval of the authorities in charge of scholarship, the scholarship of the following academic year may resume.

8. Under any of the following circumstances, the scholarship will be canceled or terminated:

（1）Violating Chinese laws and regulations;

（2）Having been given a disciplinary punishment of academic probation or expulsion from academic status;

（3）Failure to pass the Annual Review twice during the study at GSCAAS;

（4）Not attending the Annual Review without approval.

9. For Chinese government scholarship students who need to transfer to another university, GSCAAS is responsible for that year’s Annual Review and the transfer of review materials.

10. The students who apply for deferred graduation should attend the Annual Review and apply for scholarship extension. The scholarship period shall not be extended if he/she failed to pass the assessment. However, the student may continue the study self-funded with approval of GSCAAS in advance.

11. The student who has passed the Annual Review of scholarship is eligible for rewarding only one scholarship.
