Huang Chenyang and Dr. Zhao Mengran, two members of the Innovation Team of Mushroom Genetics, Breeding and Cultivation of the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, joined in a postdoctoral research technology service activity in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, from July 29-31.

The event was sponsored by the Office of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and organized by Qiqihar Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau.

Chai Ying, deputy head of the Fund Management Office of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, said the foundation should resolutely carry out China's national poverty alleviation policy, bringing scientific and technological talents to impoverished areas and making full use of their intellect to provide talent services in those areas.

During the event, Huang visited a mushroom planting cooperative in Baiquan County, where he carried out in-depth exchanges with the cooperative staff about the black fungus factory’s process design, new varieties, precise management, and strain quality testing and offered relevant suggestions.

At a black fungus planting cooperative in Tailai County, Zhao pinpointed the pollution sources and proposed technical solutions.

Thirteen experts from 12 organizations, including Tsinghua University and Zhejiang University participated in the activity.
