In order to improve the basic theory and evaluation methods of the ecological compensation mechanism for green development of China's agricultural industry, the book "Research on Ecological Compensation for Green Development of Agricultural Industry" was officially published in July 2022.

The book was authored by the following scholars: Yu Xinrong, chairman of the National Academy of Agriculture Green Development; Mei Xurong, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS); Yang Peng, director of the Department of Research Management of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences; and Zhou Ying, associate researcher of the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning (IARRP) of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

The book examines the ecological compensation mechanism for the green development of the agricultural industry from three perspectives: theoretical connotation, method and principle, and policy practice.

The book explains the path for improving the basic theory and evaluation method of ecological compensation mechanism for green development of the agricultural industry, and provides a quantitative framework for improving the effectiveness of the agricultural ecological compensation policy.

The innovation of the book is reflected in four aspects: first, it redefines the theoretical connotation and compensation content of ecological compensation for agricultural industry; second, it creates a standard pricing method for ecological compensation; third, it improves the standard accounting methodology for ecological compensation; fourth, it builds an institutional framework for ecological compensation policies for the agricultural industry.
